Well, this week makes 30 weeks according to my original due date. According to my measurements, this would be 36 weeks. Confusing, yes? I know due dates are just general estimates anyway, and I knew that it would be a challenge for me to not know exactly when I was going to go into labor because I am such a planner. But having this four week window is a little unnerving. Should I go ahead and put the car seat in my car? Should I pack a hospital bag? So far I am not doing either. Luckily, I live close to the hospital and I can always just go and send someone to fetch my things later. I am trying to stay calm. Colin's mom says her money is on December 27. My mom says she thinks he'll be born in December, too. I am just hoping to not have him on Christmas day.
We had childbirth class last week at St Vincent's, and we will have part two of class this Thursday night. We got to tour the labor and delivery area and the maternity floor. Colin and I were both very impressed with what we saw, and I got to pre-register so I can just show up when I go into labor.
In other news, I had another busy family oriented weekend: dinner with Colin's folks on Friday night, visited Grandma at the rehab facility on Saturday, had my sisters over for dinner on Saturday night, and went to Arkadelphia on Sunday for my cousin Katy's baby's baptism. Her little boy is 6 weeks old now and was a perfect angel all through church. Even when they sprinkled cold water on his head!
Here I am holding Corbin with his proud mama Katy. I was so happy to be a part of his big day! Katy and I have been close since we were kids, so I am so excited for our boys to be so close in age. Excuse my pink cheeks in the picture; the church was about 80 degrees.

what else do you need that you havent gotten yet??? We need to go to dinner before you have him. I bet on December 11. Becca out the car seat in the day we left the hospital. they will have to check it before they let you leave anyway so no need to rush.
how exciting!!!!! TARA
