Suzy: 15 Months

Suzy is an amazing kid. She is 15 months old on October 9th.

She is making great improvements in her motor skills. She loves to walk while holding someone’s hands, and her crawling is getting fast. She takes a few steps on her own each day, but she is still very cautious for the most part. She does enjoy climbing into Hank’s rocking chair, cruising around the coffee table, climbing up the slide at the park, and general mess making.

She knows how to say a lot of words, and she talks a LOT.
She can say:
Mama,
Dada,
Bubba (for Hank),
hello (lello),
byebye,
uh-oh,
woah!,
GO! (she uses this one a lot),
walk (sounds like wakka waka),
yes,
book (she loves books!),
more (mo’),
Elmo (Melmo),
Minnie,
cookie,
ball,
thank you (sounds like ta-too),
baby,
paci (sounds like packa, not sure why),
bow,
nose,
mouth,
water (wa-wa),
duck (ducka ducka),
Nae Nae and Papa.
!

She is TALL!
She loves her brother SO MUCH!
She knows the noises for several animals, can point to several body parts, and points to herself in pictures and says Sue-Sue. Her first “sentence” was’ Bye bye, Melmo’ while waving to her toy Elmo airplane. She still loves Minnie the best, but Elmo is a close second.

She works so hard at physical therapy. This was an exercise to practice standing and lowering herself back down. Jewelry is a great motivator! Her confidence has improved so much. She can crawl up stairs, and she thinks she can walk down stairs by herself! She loves to hug her baby dolls, and she pretends to feed them her snacks.

She got in a bounce house for the first time last weekend, and she thought it was hilarious! She still only has four teeth, but there are several just ready to cut through now.

She is so adorable, Eve! I can't wait to see her next weekend. And I love those butterfly pants.
