Weekend Update

Aunt Larkin and Roxanne came to town this weekend! Hank was fascinated by the baby. He was definitely still jealous of all the attention she was getting, but he did let me hold her without freaking out. He is still a super picky eater, and these days it is all I can do to get him to eat goldfish and cheese. His doctor and lots of other moms assure me that it is fine and that he is thriving despite his pickiness. 

This was at lunch at the Old Mill restaurant on Saturday. He had part of a grilled cheese sandwich, fruit snacks, goldfish and juice. He now refuses to sit in a high chair, so he rotated through the meal between laps and sitting on the bench by the baby seat.

Can you tell he was a little jealous of Roxanne? He brought this book to Larkin, and she made room for him on her lap. It was pretty sweet.

And then he had to climb up into Grandma's chair when she was holding the baby. 

We went to Fair Park elementary on Sunday morning for some fun with my friends and their kids. Hank was one of the younger kids there, so he did a lot of watching and learning. He climbed onto the balance beam, went through tunnels, up stairs, down slides, and round and round and round on a scooter. He was wiped out when we left at nap time. I highly recommend this park because it is 1) fenced in completely, and 2) designed for younger kids. 

This park had a steering wheel and a tunnel with window cutouts that he thought were hilarious!

Hank really wanted to ride this merry go round at the park, but his legs don't reach the pedals yet. I held him on and pushed in a circle for him. We had to stop when I got dizzy!

Our friend Lee-Ann brought a few spare toys for the kids to play on. Hank got the green Cricket scooter, and he LOVED it! He was zipping around like a pro after the big kids! Lee-Ann was kind enough to let us bring it home with us for a while. 

 

He is out of school today for Veteran's Day and is spending the day with his Nae Nae. Fingers crossed that he is behaving nicely for her!
