1 year + a few weeks

He wore his new Converse to school after Christmas even though they are a little too big still. I couldn't resist! They make him look so hip. This picture was taken at 7:15 in the morning at day care. He was completely tuckered out because he had already been awake for 2.5 hours that morning! The 5 minute car ride put him straight to sleep, and he surprisingly let me carry him in without waking up.

Hank has really taken a liking to stuffed animals. He doesn't have to have a particular animal or blanket, but he needs something to cuddle with at bedtime and sometimes first thing in the morning. These awesome jammies were a birthday present from Anna and Steven. They fit perfectly!
Check out that snaggle tooth! He now has four teeth on the top and two on the bottom. Those top teeth were a real pain.
do you think his eyes are still blue? Or gray? I didn't think they would stay blue this long!
Hank is a little bit of a picky eater. He likes most things, but if he is not in the mood to eat you can just forget it. Something he refuses at one minute might go down perfectly 30 minutes later. I am learning patience on a daily basis. The other night at dinner with Colin's parents, Colin's mom suggested we try vanilla pudding with Hank. He didn't want it much until she let him hold the spoon. Then he went to town!
He was surprisingly good with the spoon. He got the pudding everywhere and dunked his whole hand in the pudding cup,  but he actually ate quite a bit of it off the spoon. It was a fun experiment but not very practical for every day!
A bath in Grandma's sink followed the pudding immediately. In more feeding/tummy news, we are taking him to a pediatric gastroenterologist at the end of the month to see if there is anything odd with his stomach or if he is truly just a fussy eater. The combination of reflux, colic and picky eating makes my pediatrician want to take a closer look. I am excited to see what the doctor says.

I love that he's wearing Converse. Mk wore them as long as I could find them when she was that age. They're so cute on little kids!
