viva el birdos!

This is from our balcony at the Crowne Plaza Hotel at the Arch. It really was right by the Arch and conveniently located near Busch Stadium. We did lots of walking between the two! We saw the Cardinals beat the Cubs Friday night and Saturday afternoon. Both games were cliffhangers with walk off runs to win the game! My man Pujols didn't hit a home run for me, but it was enough just to be there and see him in action. I overheard the following conversation while in line for a ridiculously expensive Diet Coke:
son (in Cubs hat and shirt) to dad (in Cubs hat and shirt):
"Dad, do you think we'll see Pujols hit a home run today??"
He is just that good.
Busch Stadium was packed! Somewhere around 46,000 people were at each game we saw!
I love this statue! It is in a little park right in the middle of downtown St. Louis. I couldn't get over how nice all of the landscaping was in this area of town. Stan and Colin at Mike Shannon's bar (outside the stadium). Stan bought our tickets to the games as a birthday gift to Colin. Our seats were in the Red Bird Club and were really great. It was fun to hang with the guys all weekend!
