Today's Special: Suzy at 7 months

Suzy currently loves to blow raspberries and say dadadadadadada. She is very vocal!
She has started eating solids. She gets baby food for breakfast and lunch at day care, and then she gets chunks of 'real' food at home for dinner. So far, she loves banana, apple, sweet potato, and squash, but she is not sure about green veggies yet! She also really likes to gnaw on pizza crust and loves yogurt. She still has no teeth, so I'm sure chewing on a stick of apple or pizza crust feels really good on her gums. She started mostly just chewing and then spitting it out, but she has started to figure out how to swallow the pieces she gums without gagging. She even tried little pieces of black olive the other night at Hank's request. She liked them, and I was impressed with her coordination to pick up little pieces. She is learning so much!

Her hair is really growing. I like to put headbands on her, but they have started leaving impressions where they have been tight on her little noggin. I need to find barrettes that will stay in her slippery baby hair. For now we are still rocking turbans.

She is sitting up really well now, and she seems to really enjoy being up right. She still doesn't enjoy tummy time at home (they say she likes it at school!), and she doesn't like to roll. I know she can do it if she is mad enough, though! Lots of time if I put her down for tummy time she will just roll immediately to her back!

Hank wanted to share all of his 'friends' with Suzy. Note: these are Hank's favorite stuffed animals that sleep with him every night. He is so sweet with her!

She is amazing us all by continuing to drink an average of 30 ounces a day. She has come so far in just one month with her bottle intake! We stopped giving her Prevacid, too, and it has not seemed to make one bit of difference! I am so happy to have her off that medicine.
