Twenty months (or almost 2)

This morning we were watching Sesame Street while we ate breakfast. The Count was counting on the show, and Hank looked at him and said “ah-ah-ah!” See, Sesame Street is so educational!
Hank loves airplanes. He can hear one way off in the distance and will point at the sky and say ‘er-pay!’ He loves going down the big kid slides at the park all by himself, and he will try to climb up them from the bottom.
Story time with Mama in his Elmo jams
Hank and his Granddad Wally
Hank with his Grandma
Thanks for the Star Wars shirt, Calvin!
He started his new class at day care last week, and he has done really well with the transition. He can say the names of all the kids in his classroom and seems to really like Ms. Rita.

I think the Terrible Twos have begun. He fights us every night at bedtime again. He is happy to take his bath, read stories, and brush his teeth, but the second I put him in his crib he loses his mind. We have resorted to rocking him to sleep for a week now. He had been going to sleep so easily for months, but we are regressing somehow. I think I’ll blame this last set of teeth that he’s working on.
Hank with his Nae Nae. He loves throwing rocks into her pond!
His words at 20 months: Daddy, Mommy, ball, dog, that, cat, woof, bye bye, hi, hello, uh-oh, rawr, wee!, woah, bubbles, shoe, cheese, juice, Papa, Wally, NaeNae, Lion (sounds like ya-yee), no-no, fish, water, cookie, moo, bottle, bird, snack, hungry, baby, eye, Elmo, airplane, I need (sounds like ‘na-nee’), all done, more, happy, night-night, moon…maybe more?
Hank with his friend Audrey (pronounced Ah-ee)
He can follow instructions very well when he wants to. He will stop at the end of the driveway when I ask him not to go in the street. He will give high fives, fistbumps, kisses and hugs if asked. He hugs his classmates and friends when he sees them in the morning. He loves to wave and say bye, he loves to talk on the phone, and he will do little chores like ‘take this to Daddy’ or ‘wipe your mouth.’
Hank with his buddy Drew. They are two of a kind!
Still super picky. Living off macaroni and cheese, goldfish, cheese and juice. Not really, but close. Thank goodness for daycare. He still eats a wide variety of things when he is there. He is finally over eating black olives. He lived on black olives for months and months, but now he just chunks them off his tray every time. He loves to throw food off his high chair tray, which he knows makes me crazy. We are working on it. He throws everything now. Balls, books, cups, toys. At the dog. At me. He also loves to put things in the trashcan or the toilet. He is getting sneakier, too. Our baby is growing up!

Leslie just told me yesterday that she is still nursing Reid to sleep every night. So Hank's regression seems normal to me! xo
