Four Months Old!

My baby boy is getting so big! I took him to the pediatrician for his four month check up today. He weighed in at 13 pounds 9.2 ounces, which is only the 23rd percentile. Everyone keeps saying how big he is, but he is actually skinny! Dr. K said she was surprised that he didn't weigh more considering he eats between 30 and 36 ounces of milk each day, but then I described how active he is and how he rarely naps more than 30 minutes at a time. She said that explains it. Anyway, he is now 25" inches long, which is the 54th percentile. He is tall like his mama! He has grown an average of one inch per month. His head circumference is 16.5", and that is the 40th percentile. All around he is growing like a champ!
We are going to start adding formula into his diet since I have stopped pumping, but she wants us to wait until six months to try cereal. His tummy is pretty sensitive, so we are going to try Enfamil Gentlease. Keep your fingers crossed that he doesn't hate it/reject it. We only have enough breast milk left for another few days.
His colic is easing up, and he has found a new love for the green bouncy chair (as pictured above). He sleeps in his crib every night from around 9 til 5:45 or 6am. That makes us very happy! Hearing him laugh and coo is one of the best things ever. He is a real joy.
