This guy just keeps getting cuter.
I took Henry to the doctor yesterday to talk about his diaper rash and his gassy belly. They weighed him while we were there, and he is up to 11 pounds 2 ounces! That is two whole pounds in one month of life! It was especially nice to hear that he is gaining so well because I have been having such frustration with feeding him. He still doesn't want to nurse, so I am tied to my pump round the clock. To add insult to injury, I think I am getting my second round of mastitis. To spare you the details, let's just say it is no fun.

In other news:
- he is sleeping really well on most nights. We put him in his crib after his 10:00 feeding and he typically sleeps until about 1:30 or 2 am. It is amazing how good three solid hours of sleep feels compared to one and a half hours.
- His umbilical cord stump finally fell off about a week ago. That meant he had to have a real tub bath, which he did not really care for. I was quick because I worried about him getting too cold. He still just gets sponge baths most days. I mean really, how dirty can a baby get?
- He has rolled over three or four more times since I posted the video. It usually happens when I am making him have tummy time.
- I think we might have daycare figured out. The Child Development Center in downtown is our top pick, and they called to tell me that they are thinking of opening another infant class! Henry is at the top of the list for that class, so keep your fingers crossed!

So sorry to hear about the mastitis. That is no fun at all! I hope they are able to get you on antibiotics quickly to keep you from being totally miserable.
I got your sweet note in the mail yesterday - the photo of Henry is on the fridge!
So, so sorry to hear about the mastitis. Hope it gets better quickly!
See you soon, lots of love,
Cynthia
The outfit in the top pic is the cutest! Glad you are getting more (notice I didn't say enough;) sleep. Hopefully the breastfeeding gets better.
