5 days old

Henry is five days old today. We took him in to see his pediatrician, and everything went really well!

He really likes his car seat, once we get it in the moving car.  Strapping him into makes him mad, though.  The doctor said that he went from 9 lb 2 oz at birth to 8 lb 12 oz today, which is excellent.  He is looking a little jaundiced, but because he is gaining weight and having normal diapers she wasn't concerned.  We go back in a week just to make sure that he is still gaining weight and not turning yellower.  We have been having a hard time with nursing, so I am doing a whole lot of pumping for now.  Other than that, he is doing so well and we are all very proud.

I put him in this adorable outfit for our big excursion.  He looked like such a handsome young man!  He even had little socks that look like cowboy boots.

Too bad when we got home he pooped all over all of it during a diaper change.
