22 Weeks

We had a great weekend over here. My dad came over and mowed our lawn, fixed the closet doors in the baby's room, and cleaned out our water intake regulator. Noel came to town, so I got to spend a lot of time with her. She was so sweet and made me feel so good about my growing belly. 22 weeks is agreeing with me. Baby Henry is about 11.5 inches long and a little more than a pound in weight now. Eyelashes and eyebrows are well formed now and he could even be growing hair on his head. He is exploring his new sense of touch this week and developing a sense of sight (even though it is dark in there!).
The top of my uterus has grown all the way to an inch above my belly button. My stomach feels really hard, and it continues to stretch and grow.
Something amazing happened today! I have to wear my ID badge on a lanyard at work, and today I looked down just as the baby kicked it. I actually saw the badge jump on my belly! I am hoping that this means that Colin will be able to feel him kick soon. He told me that he really wishes he could feel Henry kick already, and I know it will be one more thing to make it all so real for Colin. He is going to be an awesome dad.
