18 weeks

This week I am 18 weeks pregnant, which means I am practically half way to my due date. The baby is about 6 inches long and weighs about half a pound.

One thing about being pregnant that I had never thought of: sometimes I can actually feel the skin on my stomach stretching tighter. Especially right around the belly button. My belly button is already getting shallower. Will my innie become an outie??

I am feeling pretty good almost all of the time. I do feel like I am getting bigger each day, and I have started to make little changes in how I sleep. I can already tell that I am going to have a hard time getting out of our papasan chair after a few more months! That thing is so low to the ground! No wonder the dog loves to climb into it.

My amazing friend Ashley showed up at my house with two huge stacks of some beautiful maternity clothes. What a lifesaver! I am wearing one of the gorgeous dresses today and have received several compliments on it! She brought me something like 3 dresses, 10 shirts, 8 pants and a skirt. And they are all work appropriate and fit really well. It was actually really perfect timing too, because every single morning it was super depressing to try to find something to wear to work.

I am thinking of getting this mobile to hang above the crib, but I am not sure if it will be too big for the room. What do you think? **update** I just realized that the mobile mentioned above has comments stating it would look best in a room with high ceilings. That ain't us, so I guess I will keep looking!
