Anna Karenina

I love reading. I love it so much that I am in two book clubs, which means that I have two "assigned" books to read each month. For June's book clubs, I have already read The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid by Bill Bryson (highly enjoyable) and Welcome to the Great Mysterious by Lorna Ladvik (also very enjoyable).

I have a loooong list of books to read. Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy has been on that list for quite some time, and I finally decided to dive into it this past week. There is just something a little bit intimidating about starting a nearly 900 page book. I have read almost 250 pages and I am really enjoying it. I will let you know if and when I ever finish it! (I thought about trying to get a book club to tackle it, but then I thought better of it. If anyone has read it and wants to discuss I am available.)

"She was one of those animals who, it seems, do not talk only because the mechanism of their mouths does not permit it."

Anna Karenina is one of my favorite books of all time! It has one of the most classic opening lines!
